I’d like to think of myself as a very modest, private person. But when it comes to my children I need to document every detail of their lives so I can remember every morsel. It goes by so quickly. When I became pregnant with my third babe, I knew I wanted to capture each moment of their lives, starting with their entrance into the world. Yet, having someone in such a private space felt daunting for me. My dear friend Jessica, who has been capturing my children on film for many years was exactly who I would trust to be there with me. However, even up until the final moments before her birth I was very anxious about having someone else in the room. Jessica was beyond incredible. Her professionalism, and candor during my birth was more than I could have ever expected. She was supportive and respectful in every sense on the words. The photos she captured were exactly what I wanted. Real life. Real emotion. No posing or artificial smiles. She captured my family during our most vulnerable and emotional moments perfectly. I would recommend, and have, her to anyone who wants a true professional to capture any and every aspect of their lives.

Our experience with Jess was amazing. When she arrived at my house the first thing she did was acknowledged my kids and got to know them. Anyone with kids knows how important it is to have the cooperation of kids for pictures! My boys ( even my grumpy toddler) liked her and she was able to get them to cooperate with ease. We absolutely loved our pictures! We received access to our pictures via secure website. The edited images were amazing! I would absolutely recommend her for lifestyle/documentary photography. I can't wait to have the opportunity to have her capture our family again.

There are places from my childhood that when I return to visit, I feel like a little kid again. Like my Grandmother's house which sits upon a hill surrounded by woods. The smell of firewood, tea bags and old books mixed with the breeze from the open windows, brings in the scent of grass, leaves and the life of the river just over the road. It is magic...
